If at first you don’t succeed..

In the midst of burn out, every task feels daunting, until its attempted. Attempting a task when your body is paralyzed from low key depression, is at least an attempt at something. The bar has raised an inch, enough to shuffle some energy to a menial thing that has had to get done — usually the day before, or most times on the exact day it needs to be done by. Go figure.

If at first you don’t succeed, do it at the last minute.

Scrape by.

Live dangerously.

And the things, they keep on coming; an imaginary list of self set to-do’s, you did this to yourself, and in some strange way you gain value by completing the thing that you made up for yourself. You purposefully self sabotage yourself, by waking up that morning and already theres 27 things you need to do by 12pm, all of which do not get done, and the depression sets in harder; ‘What the fuck is wrong with you, get up and do the fucking work’, or something like that.

As creative business types, we are resilient to our own savage mental beatings, and we just get up and start again, in pain, with ferocity, until the end.
